Hair transplatation or grafting is a procedure which produces very favorable, permanent results for many people. This surgical procedure involves taking hair-bearing skin from the sides or back of the scalp, dissecting it into smaller sections and transferring the sections to the bald area on the head. Hair transplants provide a permanent solution to balding or thinning hair and can be performed on both men and women. Dr. Herbich utilizes the latest techniques including linear punches, slot grafting, minigrafting (grafts of 3 to 4 hairs) and micrografting (single hair grafts) for the most natural results possible. Dr. Herbich has been performing hair transplants since 1981.

As people age, genetics and excessive sun exposure changes the skin and it loses its elasticity and wrinkling and sagging are more apparent. Skin folds appear more prominent, particularly around the chin, jowels, and neck. Facelifts correct these conditions and involves tightening the facial and neck skin and muscles.

It is now possible to permanently enlarge or reduce your lips. Procedures such as V to Y advancement flaps, Gore-tex or Softform implants, or simple excision may be the answer.

Time tested techiques for nasal reshaping are used. Common problems that are corrected are flat bridges, wide nasal tips, crooked noses, hook tips and enlarged noses.
Blepharoplasty can be performed on the lower lids, upper lids, or both to correct sagging eyelids and removal of fat deposits beneath the eyes. It can also be used to create a double fold on the upper eyelids. Fine incisions are made in the natural lines and creases of the eyelids and inside the the lower eyelids. This latter procedure is called transconjunctival blepharoplasty. No visible scar is left with this procedure.
Liposuction is commonly performed to correct double chins before the age of 50. After that a face lift is usually required to correct the double chin.
Breast Augmentation (Implants) / Lift
Dr. Herbich was fortunate to have trained with Dr. Frank Gerow at Baylor College of Medicine who invented breast implants. He offers saline implants and also performs breast lifts.

Liposuction or Lipo-sculpture (body contouring) is a safe and effective means of removinig stubborn fat deposits from ares that are resistant to diet and exercise. Dr. Herbich performs the tumescent techinique in which dilute local anesthetic is infiltrated into the are to be treated. This procedure has the advantage of reducing pain and bruising in the area. He prefers this techinique over the internal ultrasound technique which has the great disadvantage of occasionally causing burns which may scar the area treated.
